To write a researched position paper, you will want to select an issue that is unsettled and multifaceted. Present your position on the issue by stating clearly which side you support.
You will want to provide reasons and evidence for why your position is correct. The reasons and evidence may be derived from your sources. You should include information from at least three sources. You will need to include in-text citations in the body of your essay for all quotations, paraphrases, and summaries.
The full bibliographic information from your sources should appear at the end of your essay on a separate page (References for APA or Works Cited for MLA). Make sure you adhere to one formatting style, either APA or MLA. You may structure your argument using any strategy you think will be the most compelling. It would be wise to include at least some reference to the opposition. This assignment should be eight to ten pages and will be graded on a 250-point scale.
