Why is this routine not recommended as the predominant mode of questioning in a classroom? Depending on your students’ ages (I teach preK-5th general music), you may use the same picture or one of your choice. Even if you don’t teach reading, this is a great opening or hook to activate your student’s schema and engage them in your lesson. Share your experience, if possible.
