The work that you do in the Discussion Board (DB) and IP assignments is designed to support your efforts by providing opportunities for you to produce work that contributes directly to your dissertation.

Submit for your research supervisor’s review the final draft from the RES863 Unit 9 Individual Project (IP) assignment of your research proposal Chapter 2, or the most current draft that you have of this chapter if you have made revisions since that time. Note that all content must be in the latest version of the CTU dissertation template. Using margin comments or some type of progress checklist, please submit a copy of this chapter that indicates the additions and revisions (if any) that you have made since RES863. Please leave the margin comments and feedback notes provided by your RES863 instructor on this chapter on the copy that you submit. As can be seen in the Doctoral Studies Dissertation Pathway Milestones chart in the Doctoral Resource Center (in Dissertation Research & Resources below the Dissertation Process Flowchart), to receive a passing grade in RES864, you must end the course with a research proposal that has passed university review (i.e., “pass” or “pass with modifications” decision). Without an approved research proposal, you will not have met the course milestone and will not be able to advance to RES865. Important reminders: Starting with the approval of your research prospectus in RES861 and extending through the end of RES868, you are continuously compiling components of your dissertation research proposal or dissertation manuscript. The work that you do in the Discussion Board (DB) and IP assignments is designed to support your efforts by providing opportunities for you to produce work that contributes directly to your dissertation project. Please understand that the proposal or dissertation process is iterative and that you will continue to make revisions that require the approval of your research supervisor or your dissertation committee throughout the remainder of the dissertation journey. Therefore, when completing an IP assignment, you must always submit your entire research proposal or dissertation manuscript draft for each IP assignment, and this draft must be in the most recent version of the CTU dissertation template.
