Discuss and demonstrates beyond the expectations of the course a knowledge of how the ideas inform a modern religious perspective.

This just have to be 500 words and have to use examples from the torah Genesis to Numbers chapter 26. The impromptu written response to the reading must be at least 400 words, double-spaced with indented paragraphs. Include the student’s name, the class number (Rel220), the date, and the reading addressed; failure to include this information may result in a reduced grade (samples can be found on the website). The response should address what the student thinks are the three or four main points or events of the reading and should not merely be a summarization of the reading. An impromptu written response should also include insights that tie the ideas or events from the reading into an existing understanding of New Church theology and religion in general. Additional research is not expected for these responses – the reading and insights should be enough. If a student refers to an idea drawn from the text, include the work and passage number referenced or quoted (Deut 6:5). Failure to do so may be construed as plagiarism. Grading Guidelines for impromptu written responses (Letter Grade): A: The written response not only succinctly summarizes the ideas of the readings and effectively places them in a biblical context but demonstrates beyond the expectations of the course a knowledge of how the ideas inform a modern religious perspective.
