Put together a virtual exhibition using the Microsoft Sway platform using images of the artefacts held in The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum (https://www.bdcmuseum.org.uk).
Your exhibition can be on any subject covered by the parameters of the course – the history of moving image culture in Britain: Women in British Cinema.
The exhibition should make a coherent intellectual argument through the use of images from the collection but should also be attractive in its design and appealing to a general audience.
In putting together your exhibition you should Research appropriate artefacts for your theme on the museum catalogue Select and collate artefacts from the collection- you will create collections of items on the online catalogue which Phil will retrieve and scan images of for you, supplying the scans to you via email.
Some images may be downloaded from the online catalogue, if available.
Design the lay-out of the Sway, considering how items are best displayed and how they might complement each other within the whole Label items through notes and consider the need for explanatory text Create a title for the display You should also submit a written piece of work (800 words)This should be a blog that will detail the thinking behind your virtual exhibition & your process of selection.
