During the presentation, verbally summarize the information for the class. 1) Pathogen (with diagrams) Describe the pathogen (bacteria, virus, fungi, protist, or worm), its lifecycle in the body, which part of the body it targets (cells, tissues, organs). Why do these symptoms occur (tie in with your knowledge of anatomy/physiology)? What are the long-term consequences if not treated? What is the survival rate or mortality rate of the disease?
