Reflect on your feelings, concerns, and reactions to your clinical experiences. Describe a nursing action that is new to you; will this impact your nursing practice in any clinical setting? Describe how the nursing role in your setting can help with caring, patient advocacy, keeping on top of labs, multidisciplinary treatments, collaboration with fellow staff, and other disciplines, and discharge planning. Include at least one assessment or intervention that you saw another member of the health care team (RN, NP, MD, CNA, food service, pharmacy, etc.) do in the clinical setting that you will incorporate into your nursing practice. Include at least one EBP (evidence-based practice) reference that relates to your clinical experience. This can be done weekly (once a week). Objectives for the next clinical day- what you want to do on a day by day basis-this will help you get the most out of each clinical day, and help you achieve your goals. This week is more a learning experience, use one citationTHIS is my 3rd week in clinical rotation as usual it has been a very busy week. the unit is extremely busy. each nurses are given 6 patients . i have seen a very ill patient with many past medical history, who is i with given TPN because to meet her nutritional needs to digest essential nutrients. i did give some oral medication, and insulin injection. This week what make me surprise is there was a patient in the unit for several days. me and my preceptor assigned one day to this pt we noticed that she has no IV accsess to give an IV medication. we asked the other nurses why this happened they all said three people tried but fail to do it . what surprised me was no one documented the situations . if you don’t document you do not do it. we tried once did not successful we right away called the lab technician to help us with the situation. and documented.[order_button_a]
